German should be a requirement for all new members.
I disagree. I was under the impression that we were trying to get more members, not exclude people. Since the name we've pretty much settled on is Gulf Coast Euros, we should be open to all European cars.

Ok my .02 cents for what it is worth..... Naturally our club no matter what we change the name too will be mainly German with the exception of a few. Bill is a dubber at heart even though he owns a volvo, after all he has 4 kids and there are not many dubs that can accomodate that without having a car payment the same as a mortgage. I think we are reading into things more than we need to be. Another reason for changing the club name is to give us a fresh clean start, a clean slate. We realized that when you try to be an "Elite Members Only" type club it will have limited members and not grow like it should because people are turned off by it. Honestly when most people think of a "Euro" club, German cars are probably the first thing that comes to mind, because they are far more obtainable for us normal people. I highly doubt someone driving a fine Italian made car is going to want anything to do with people who for the most part drive VW/Audi. On the flip side because we are such a wonderful and NON JUDGEMENTAL group of free spirts I highly doubt we would shun away anyone no matter if they are driving a riced out honda, a fiat, or a ghia. This is a group of people first and foremost that all share a common interest in cars...and share an interest in driving cars that are always broken (hopefully you are laughing). If one wants to join in on the fun, who cares what they drive as long as they are just as welcoming as we are!
Seconded.
